By using Dandii, creating an account, posting a rental, or purchasing a business membership, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. About Dandii

Dandii is an online marketplace connecting renters, landlords, and local businesses across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Dandii is not a real estate brokerage, property manager, employer, or contractor.

3. User Accounts

You agree to:

Provide accurate information.
Keep your login credentials secure.
Be responsible for activity on your account.

You must be at least 18 years old.

4. Rental Listings

Landlords and property owners agree that:

Listings must be accurate.
Photos must represent the actual property.
You have permission to advertise the property.
Fraudulent or misleading listings may be removed without notice.

5. Business Directory

Businesses are responsible for:

Accurate business information.
Maintaining licences required by law.
Providing honest descriptions of their services.

Dandii does not guarantee leads, enquiries, bookings, or revenue.

6. Annual Business Membership

Business directory memberships are:

$300 CAD per year plus applicable taxes.
Billed annually.
Managed securely through Stripe.

Membership begins on the date payment is received.

7. Refund Policy

Business memberships are non-refundable.

Once payment has been processed, annual membership fees cannot be refunded, including if a business chooses not to use the service.

If you believe you were charged in error, contact us promptly and we will review the issue.

8. Acceptable Use

Users may not:

Post false or misleading information.
Impersonate another person or business.
Upload illegal, offensive, or copyrighted content without permission.
Attempt to disrupt or interfere with the website.
Use automated tools to scrape or copy website content without permission.

9. Reviews

Reviews should be honest and based on genuine experiences.

Dandii may remove reviews that are:

False
Abusive
Defamatory
Spam

10. Payments

Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Dandii does not store your credit card information.

11. Intellectual Property

All Dandii branding, logos, website design, software, and original content remain the property of Dandii.

Users retain ownership of content they upload but grant Dandii permission to display that content on the platform.

12. Account Suspension

Dandii may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms of Service.

Removal of an account for violating these terms does not entitle the user to a refund.

13. Disclaimer

Dandii provides a marketplace only.

We do not:

Guarantee the quality of businesses.
Guarantee rental availability.
Guarantee that users will complete transactions.

Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into agreements.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dandii is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform.

15. Privacy

Your use of Dandii is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time.

Continued use of Dandii after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and the laws of Canada applicable therein.

19. Messaging & Communication

Dandii may provide messaging tools to help users communicate.

Users agree to:

Communicate respectfully.
Not send spam or unsolicited advertising.
Not harass, threaten or abuse other users.
Not send fraudulent or misleading information.

Dandii may monitor reports of misuse and remove accounts that violate these Terms.

20. Fraud Prevention

Users must not:

Create fake accounts.
Post fake rental listings.
Misrepresent ownership of a property.
Misrepresent a business or services offered.
Attempt to collect deposits fraudulently.
Use stolen photos or copyrighted content without permission.

Accounts involved in suspected fraud may be suspended immediately while investigated.

21. Business Verification

Where offered, Dandii may verify businesses.

Verification does not guarantee:

Licensing
Insurance
Quality of work
Financial stability

Users should always perform their own due diligence.

22. User Content

Users remain the owner of any content they upload, including:

Photos
Logos
Business descriptions
Property descriptions
Reviews

By uploading content you grant Dandii a non-exclusive licence to display, reproduce and promote that content on the platform for the purpose of operating and marketing Dandii.

23. Removal of Content

Dandii may remove or edit content that:

Violates these Terms
Is unlawful
Is misleading
Contains hate speech
Contains harassment
Infringes copyright
Is considered spam

Removal may occur without prior notice.

24. Reviews & Ratings

Reviews should reflect genuine customer experiences.

Businesses may not:

Purchase fake reviews
Offer incentives for positive reviews without disclosure
Harass reviewers
Create reviews for themselves

Dandii may investigate and remove suspicious reviews.

25. Intellectual Property Complaints

If you believe content on Dandii infringes your copyright or intellectual property rights, please contact us with sufficient information so we can investigate.

Where appropriate, infringing material may be removed.

26. Availability

Dandii aims to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

The platform may be unavailable due to:

Maintenance
Software updates
Technical failures
Third-party outages
Events beyond our reasonable control

27. Changes to Membership

Dandii reserves the right to:

Change membership pricing for future renewals.
Add or remove features.
Introduce additional membership tiers.
Offer promotional pricing.

Existing paid memberships remain active until the end of their paid term.

28. Cancellation

Businesses may cancel automatic renewal at any time.

Cancellation prevents future billing but does not generate a refund for the current membership period.

Membership remains active until expiry.

29. Limitation of Responsibility

Dandii is not responsible for:

Agreements between users.
Rental disputes.
Contractor workmanship.
Business performance.
Property condition.
Financial loss resulting from transactions between users.

Users assume responsibility for their own decisions and agreements.

30. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold Dandii harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs and legal expenses arising from:

Their use of the platform.
Their content.
Their breach of these Terms.
Their interactions with other users.

31. Privacy & Data

By using Dandii you consent to the collection and use of information described in our Privacy Policy.

Dandii may collect information necessary to:

Operate the platform.
Process payments.
Improve services.
Prevent fraud.
Comply with legal obligations.

32. No Endorsement

Dandii is a marketplace that connects renters, landlords, and businesses.

Dandii does not inspect, verify, license, or endorse businesses or rental listings.

Users are responsible for evaluating businesses, properties, and service providers before making decisions or entering into agreements.
